Our Wonderful Teachers at Sugar & Spice Preschool
Miss Jenni I am a Mother, wife and nurse. I have an incredible family and live everyday to the fullest. I am also the owner of Sugar & Spice Preschool. My nursing experience includes Pediatrics, Acute Care, Medical Surgical, Urgent Care, Emergency Room, and Hospice. Children are the most precious gift. They deserve love, security, nurturing, and safety. Children today are our future. They will shape and change the world as we know it today. What we do today will ensure their best chance in life. It is my goal to make Sugar & Spice the best and the happiest preschool in town. You will receive the best quality care available. That is my promise to you. Miss Anthea / Kindergarten Teacher Hello, my name is Anthea Bethurum and I will be teaching the Kindergarten class here at Sugar and Spice Child Development Center during the coming school year. I am really looking forward to working with your children. Teaching four and five year olds to read is my favorite thing to do in the whole world. Throughout my career, I have been an advocate for early learning programs and have been able to see their impact first hand by following the school careers of children who have attended my preschools. I have developed an educational program that combines phonics, language experience, sight reading and whole language and is suitable for visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners. I utilize many developmental activities to teach various language, math, science and social studies concepts. I also teach art, drama, music and physical education as part of my program. I have over thirty years of teaching experience at both the elementary and preschool levels in various private school situations. I have a lifetime teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University and a California Children's Center Permit. I have passed the CBEST.. I live in Temecula with my husband of 30 years. I have one son who is now 29 years old. Miss Michelle Schemenauer / Pre-K Teacher I am 26 years old nad have lived in Murrieta for 24 years. I have a 4 year old sun named Austin. He is the love of my life and my angel! I have 12 units in early Childhood Education an A.A. in Liberal Arts and an A.S. in Social and Behavioral Science. I am currently taking college courses online at Chico State University and am on my way to a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, and then my teaching credential. I have always wanted to be a teacher and I am excited that I am on my way to my dream!. I have been a preschool teacher for 3 years now and I love every minute of it. In my spare time I like to be with my son. We like to go to Disneyland, Legoland, and Sea World. I also like to go to Laughlin and go to the river with my friends and family. I am very excited to start at Sugar and Spice and I can't wait to meet all of my new students and their wonderful families. Miss Meka / Assistant Teacher Hello, my name is Ms Meka and I am the assistant teacher for the two's classroom. I live in Bonsall with my three beautiful daughters and I have worked in the childcare profession for over three years and I plan to continue my education in this field. I also work part time as an Audiology Tech. My two-year-old daughter attends school here at Sugar and Spice Preschool and she loves it. We have so much fun everyday! Miss Michelle Rowland / Pre-K Teacher My name is Michelle Rowland. I currently teach the wonderful class of 2s'. The 2s' are amazing and so much fun. Our day is filled with music, dancing, learning through play and exploration. It is my goal each and every day to give my children lots of hugs and positive reenforcement. My classroom is filled with laughter and happiness. The atmosphere is fun and positive. I hope you can join me in this wonderful journey. In my personal life, I am blessed with a wonderful husband and 2 beautiful daughters. I live in Temecula and in my free time, I love to coach my daughters' softball team. I look forward to meeting you and your wonderful 2 year old soon! Miss Crystal Krahmer / Pre-K Teacher Hi, my name is Crystal Krahmer. I am new here at Sugar & Spice Preschool. I recently moved to Temecula from Oregon. I graduated from Central Oregon Community College with my Associates in Early Childhood Education. I love children of all ages. I am currently teaching the older 3's and younger 4's. Although I have experience with all the different age groups, I enjoy teaching the pre-k class the most. I will encourage and motivate your child to be the best they can be. My goal is to assess them upon starting, and build a curriculum that will challenge and excite them in learning. Building a solid foundation is my goal. In my personal life, I live in Fallbrook. I am rather shy, but friendly. I like to read and walk on the beach. I look forward to meeting you and your precious child soon! Miss Candyce Lynn Gerber / Assistant Administrator My name is Candyce Lynn Gerber. I am responsible for maintaining the administrative tasks here at Sugar & Spice Preschool. My job is really neat in that I am surrounded by amazing children and a group of professional and caring teachers. I love the atmosphere at work. It is relaxed, friendly and fun. I am in the office in the afternoon. I enjoy helping parents as I can relate being a mom of 2 great children myself. My son is starting college this Fall at University of Santa Barbara. My daughter is 14 and starting an exciting high school journey while my husband is self employed. I have lived in Temecula for over 10 years. I look forward to meeting you. Please stop by anytime! Miss Rebecca Denton / Cook My name is Rebecca Denton. I am the cook at Sugar & Spice Preschool. I only work part time, but what makes my job great is the fact that my daughter attends Sugar & Spice Preschool. For almost 2 years and loving it. She has grown and excelled tremendously. It is just amazing. I also have an infant son who was born on Valentines! My goal here is to make healthy snacks and lunch. If you have a cool, fun and healthy recipe, please share them with me. I'm always looking for ideas to spruce up the menu. I hope to meet you soon. Miss Candice James / Administrator My name is Candice James. I am a graduate of Columbia College. I have my BA in Psychology. I love my career helping people learn, succeed, prosper and live a great life. My goal as an individual is to make a difference and help others. I work well with people of all ages, but I have a strong connection with young children, especially toddlers. Working with young children is the best job on the planet! I will be enhancing my educational experience by receiving a Masters degree in Educational Counseling. I am excited and blessed as I am expecting my first baby girl this October with my fiance. I know my time is near, but I love working for Sugar & Spice Preschool. It is such a positive atmosphere. All the staffs are friendly, professional and so caring. The children are full of joy, smiles, hugs and laughter. Where else can you go everyday and be greeted with sincere excitement and happiness? I couldn't have asked for a better career.
